A challenging two day trip in the ‘last great wilderness’, with an overnight camp.
The new Fisherfield circuit is only five Munros, but we will make sure we do them all (the big 6) in this fun, adventurous, remote challenge, and if your fit enough still do the demoted sixth Munro (Beinn a’ Chlaidheimh). Those coming along are expected to carry their own tent and provisions for the two day, one night trip. This is a wonderful way to explore the Wester Ross Biosphere Reserve.
Day 1 Begining in Kinlochewe. An early start and a walk into ‘the great wilderness’ along good tracks. After about 10km we drop our overnight camping gear on the shores of Lochan Fada where we return later to spend the night. Continuing on with our day bags we climb Beinn Tarsuinn, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair and Sgurr Ban. We’ll also aim up the recently demoted summit of Beinn a’Chlaidheimh. Thus making a three Munro day. Return to the Loch shore and set up camp.
Day 2 With day bags we head north for the last two munros of the Fisherfield set (Ruadh Stac Mor and A’Mhaighdean) before returning to camp in the early afternoon. Pack all our bags and return along good tracks to Kinlochewe where we set out on our journey yesterday.
All our guides carry emergency shelters, first aid kits, paper and electronic navigation equipment and know how to use them. Prices for this guided trip are the same as our normal day price, ie we charge two day fees time for our guide. Munro day prices can be found on our Prices Page.
