The Cumbria coast and Lake District National Park offer a wide variety of habitats to seek out and enjoy a wonderful array of plants and animals.

We will aim to help you find animals ranging from England’s only pair of golden eagles, ospreys, dippers and ravens to red squirrels and natterjack toads. We will seek out special butterflies of the area like northern argus, green hairstreak and various fritillaries. Specialist Alpine plants, orchids, ferns and 2000 year old upland trees will also be searched out.

Habitats visited will include upland oak woodland, mountain, crag and moorland, coastal sand dunes, reed beds, rivers and lakes.
