Parked at Achlean and started up the Foxhunters path up the valley. The path from Glen Feshie to Carn Ban Mor is well made and at a good gradient so the walk into the Cairngorms was easy. Quite a breeze from the south though. Similar to the previous day the cloud base was stuck at around 700m so I was soon engulfed by the clouds. Once on the plateau I turned right and headed for MullachClach a’ Bhlair.

I am still amazed how disorientating a little low cloud and mist can be particularly in the wind. Some confident map and compass work required. Only small snow patches left on the tops which were easily negotiated. Just before the summit of MullachClach a’ Bhlair the clouds lifted and the whole ridge fell into form.

Turning around, and now without the need for a map, headed back along the ridges for Sgor Gaoith. As ever stunning views down to Loch Einich. There was little wildlife to be seen in the cold winds.
