Bat Walks

Nocturnal Bat Walks

If you are staying in Wester Ross and can come to Gairloch for an evening we can run a nocturnal foray through the local woods in search of bats and other nocturnal wildlife.

Using a bat detector we will hear these tiny creatures hunt for midges, they can eat up to 5000 a night! Our wildlife guide will also point out the night sounds of owls and other wild mammals. There is the chance to spot Red Deer, Pine Martins and maybe Wild Cats that are in the area.

This year we are working with the Torridon Mountain and Sea Festival to run bat walks at the event.

Give us a ring on 07787 526 299 or 01445 771 006 or email us at info@walkandwild.com to discuss your requirements.

We will meet you at a pre-arranged site to have an exciting evening strolling around woods and lakes in search of bats and other nocturnal wildlife.
